I'm not positive, but I think that means the dog teeth/gears are bad, or something to that extent. It may not be a problem to drive like that for a while, but if there are chunks of metal floating around in the bottom of your tranny and at some point one of those chunks gets up into the gears it could get really ugly really quick. Hopefully someone like JW will chime in with better info shortly.
