Maybe we can get Geoff to chime in on this one. I read the same thing about all the rebuilt MPS being adjusted for the 1.7. Years ago, I got a rebuilt 2.0 MPS from that place in Georgia. The car ran better, but seemed to run lean. It pulled ok until I hit about 4,000 RPM and then started to sputter. I ended up replacing just about everything in the FI system, but it still seemed to run lean. I got to thinking about it and contacted Geoff. I just swapped it out with a rebuilt unit from Geoff. Now it pulls hard all the way to 5,500 RPM.
I don't know what was wrong with mine. Geoff said he was going to take it apart and look at it. I do know that it had the 2.0 part number stamped on it. I also know that my car runs much better at the upper end of the tach now.
Regards,
Daris
