I am not sure what type cars folks here are looking for. If you want a collectable Chevelle or 911 cheap...I suspect that you will not find it. Of course I don't know much about selling cars. I used to flip them in the late 70s and early 80s but have not sold one since. Back then, one generally asked somewhere between the trade in book value and the retail one so here was some room to negotiate. You put a sign in the window and parked them somewhere. Now they would get vandalized or towed. I just keep the ones I have because selling them seems like a PIA and in don't really need the money. Never traded one in because it is almost always better/easier to make a good deal with cash. All are in drivable condition and have good (if not perfect) bodies, but some have faded/thin paint. They take up space. One would think that a good-running car would bring some decent money, even if a bit dated, but that does not seem the case to me now.
No one seems to want old cars unless they are cool. Even kids drive nice, almost new cars. It seems like (to me) that buyers and sellers just don't really have a way to connect. I assume most folks with cars to sell legitimately don't do so on facebook. I don't even have an account.
