I was looking at these two options about three years ago. I drove both more than once. What do you like better, beautiful redheads or blondes? Well, I like both. Therein lies the dilemna. I will say, if I had a choice of either, and they were equal in condition, AND all maintenance was paid for by someone else, I'd go with a 930.

If I had the time, ability and desire to maintain them myself, I'd go with the 930.

If I had no time and less money to maintain. I'd go with a 993.

There is something about the sound and appeal of a Turbo when it kicks in. That Turbo lag is a REAL bummer though. If it's a lot of stop and go driving, that means a 993.
