I ate at a place the other day with a 20% service charge and a 4% BOH surcharge.
Right underneath there was a sentence about how no tip above and beyond this fee was encouraged or expected.
It's just virtue signaling from the restaurant.
I do love "all in pricing" especially here in the states where the tip culture is kinda out of hand, but I don't need the rundown from the business.
