My first DYI oil change I encountered the same thing. I took a 4 foot pipe put it in on the end of the socket and "pop" it was easy. However, heed the "lot of oil" warning. You will not believe it. Oh and it is suggested to have the car up to operating temperture so not only is it plentiful but HOT as hell! It is fun!
