I Strongly agree with John. Patch panels/pieces are often a great way to go. Going this way saved me a lot of money and hassle. A good shop can fabricate even complex patch panels.

I just replaced a section of the rear longitudinal in my engine bay. Restoration Design in Canada provided a salvage rear corner from a donor car (got it just before the tariffs), and shipping was reasonable. They have some good quality used sheet metal as well as new.

Would love to hear from others about sources for Porsche salvage sheet metal.
