So I went with fan / housing / strap / hardware refurbishment "while it was out here." As always, Shaun did a fabulous job making my grungy, cracked parts beautiful. There's just something about new plating....
I was unsuccessful finding anyone to rebuild a starter or alternator, so I did buy the new Valeo with internal regulator. It looks like I'll have to cut the fiberglass air guide to let it fit.
Does anything really need to be done to the wiring to make it work?
