My thought is that if you are racing in a stock class that doesn't allow relocation of the oil tank out of the fender, then you can't change to an aluminum tank, either, you have to keep the steel tank.

If you are in a super class, you are going to move the tank forward to the smuggler's box.

This would seem to restrict your market to the uber-street enthusiast, which could sell a lot of tanks. Best of luck to you.
