With the gear ratios in a 914, the lightning can make the engine lose rotational
mass, thus making for higher revving starts in first gear.
Also in street traffic and between gear shifts the engine loses alot of pull a,d revs up and down erratically...
The getting used to is basically keeping a foot on the throttle between shifts and using some extra clutch in first...
The acceleration is added, that is for sure, but the difference in lost streetability and lost fuel economy keeps most of my engines outfitted with stock weights..
