I've looked for posts on this and the only suggestion was to look at the knob itself, so I'll do that tonight. Is there anything else, did I break a flap or is it nutted up? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance.
Rich,
You probably just broke the plastic clip that secures the 'heat' door control to the knob. If you pull the stereo out, you can see it with a mirror. My wife's car had this problem about a year ago. Had to order a new cable to get the clip. I removed the clip from the new cable and installed it on the original cable. You have to do some major dash disassembly to actually replace the cable.
