appeal to authority is a logical fallacy, it can be a rational argument if, for example, it is an appeal to expert testimony. (an inductive argument.)
Considering that Hillary has access to much of the securtity infromation, regarding this topic, AND could not be construde as being a Bush supporter
(though I'm sure she wears one) Hillarys remarks do support Lendaddys (valid)(implied) argument.
