Fold back the rubber on the grip closest to the clutch/brake master cylinder(s) and it will reveal two phillips head screws set about 180 degrees apart. Those hold the OEM heated grip to the clip-on. If I remember correctly, the only other thing holding the grip on is the bar weight, which is removed with an allen wrench.

Please note, the heating element is part of the grip and the wiring for it actually runs through the middle of the bar. If you have any desire to salvage the OEM heated grip be very careful in removing them. If you don't loosen the OEM wiring to the heated grip you will experience a lot of tension. If you pull hard enough the wire will break. Probably not what you want to have happen. Don't ask me how I know.

The wiring for the grips runs back into the great expanse of wiring toward the midsection of the bike. I'm not sure where it actually terminates.
