1977 Porsche 924 starter trouble

I just tried to start my 924 the other day. It turned over fine for a few cranks, then all the sudden nothing happen except the starter continued to spin in the crankcase without touching the flywheel. I turned the key all the way off and pulled the key out and the starter was still spinning. So then i was forced to pull off the battery terminal and then it stopped. right after that i touched the terminal back on the battery and the starter immediately begins to spin like before. That is what happens now everytime. Can someone PLEASE help me im running out of options. I've disconnected ignition control box, ignition switch, coil to try and illiminate the problem but it still starts spinning with key off and battery connected....PLEASE anybody help
thanx, Zack
