Intake and exhaust lengths alter engine output...think about how marginally the exhaust changes the engine's output, the changes made by intake length are marginal compared to the exhaust.
the length of the tubing adjusts tohe power band's location...not it's length or output. Longer pipes lower it, shorter pipes raise it. But the effects are usually minimal.
The best place to go would be a muffler shop...unless you can weld yourself. If you can, then JCWhitney sells mandrel aluminzed steel that would be great for the project.
FWIW, it'd be a project I would love to take on if you can wait 2 weeks for a product. Shattered Glass is currently pretty well backed up with a header order from the RX7 community, so it'll be a while before I can put time in it.
