Question air flow meter specs

1974 stock 1.8l F.I. Hi guys: I've removed my air box to do some evaluating and found that there are no specific tests other than measuring resistance between terminals 7 & 8 (120 to 200 ohms) and terminals 6 & 9 ( 200 to 400 ohms). Ben Watson mentions in his book "Bosch Fuel Injection" these plus "As long as the movement of the flap yields a resistance that begins low and increases evenly and smoothly, peaking at a very high resistance of several thousand ohms, the sensor is good."
Here are my results: 6 & 9 - 280 ohms, no change moving flap. 7 & 8 - 192 ohms, moving flap to full open, I get a high reading of 512 ohms with numbers in between of 300 - 400, floping around as I move the flap.
Has anyone had experience evaluating this meter and had better results? Can these meters be rebuilt and by whom? TIA ...Al
