Bring the case to a local auto transmission place..

They have large industrial "dishwashers" that they clean parts in..

The guy down the street from me has cleaned a number of my cases ( tranny and engine) and hasnt charged me yet.

I did force $20 on him last time I had something cleaned.

When you get the case home just use the brake cleaner for touch up work....brake cleaner is some nasty ****...
