It's very likely to be torsion bar noise. Sometimes the a-arm bushings wear to the point that the torsion bar makes contact.

The correct repair is to replace bushings. Another common approach is to shim the bar mount so it pulls the bar up a bit and stops the rubbing.

Either way, it's a good idea to check the bar and get rid of any rust that grew if the paint was rubbed off.
