On a '72 915 the shift rod seal, the output shaft seals, the side cover o-ring, the bottom shift fork cover seal and maybe the speedometer output seal can be replaced without significantly taking the tranmission apart. To get to the rest of the seals, it has to come partially apart (the housings have to be separated). This is not "rebuilding" the transmission which should mean replacing worn components: synchro rings, operating sleeves, brake bands, etc. Jim
