Jackstand on torsion bar then loud "POP"???
This morning I had jack up my car and placed jackstands under the end of the rear torsion bar, near the radius arm and in the wheel well, as shown on this board. I went to adjust one of the stands a little by raising the car slightly with the jack. Then as soon as I touched the jackstand to move it there was a very LOUD "POP"(???). Is it possible the storsion bar snapped? How can I tell if it is broken? What else might have caused this noise?
