I was looking through the latest issue of Sports Car International and the write up on the 997 is pretty good. I also had a chance last week to speak with one of the designers of the 997 and he told me pretty much what we already know..."the 997 has cues back to the 993"!
The interior is where I really notice the change...the doors with arm rest over pockets and a simplified center console seem to work out very nice. The guages are spead out (but still touching) and this really brings the look of old back into the 911.
I was never a big fan of the 996 (Except for the GT3) so the changes to the 997 are very nice! The photos in the magazine show some really good details, in fact I am able to tell that they are listening to RPR Eins on the radio!
So I now have another 911 on my wish list!
