Uh, the whole bloody clutch setup maybe? That comes in handy with a manual transaxle.

The 944 has the transaxle in the back and the clutch in the front, so you'd need the manual transaxle to mount in the rear, and you'd need the full clutch aparatus to put in the front at the flywheel.

I'm not sure if the torque tube is different between the two or not.

The conversion has been done, I know that for certain, but it seems as though it would be a really big pain.
