Center Support Bearing

I removed the center support bearing on my M3 using the write-up you have on your site, but I had to use a gear puller to get the bearing/bracket off of the driveshaft. I am trying to install the new center bearing/bracket and it is too tight a fit to put on by hand. Do you have any suggestions for installing the bearing/bracket? It seems that there is a special BMW tool for this that slips over the driveshaft spline and puts pressure on the center of the bearing. One then taps the tool to seat the bearing on the driveshaft? Could I just use some pipe to achieve the same effect? Is there a better way?

Thanks,
Mike
