Why blame the tranny. The engine sputtering/bogging has nothing to do with the 915. That's you and your clutch/throttle technique.
Then someone else recommended that "You could work on double clutching to increase the speed of the shift." What? Double clutch is to match the spees of teh rotating parts of the tranny for a down shift, not upshift, and to make sure down shifts don't upset your cornering.
If you have a complaint about slow shifts, that is related to the 915 and the Porsche style baulk ring synchros. They do not allow rapid shifts.
