Hey Eric, it was good meeting you today and seeing your car. I see no reason why your project shouldn't be up and running with just a couple of weekends of wrenching. And ae1969, you were right about the flywheel lock. I didn't realize the bell housing was off the new motor. So we bolted one on from the old motor and the flywheel lock worked well.
Anyway, Eric, I can help out with finishing up the front end (i.e. balance shaft belt, ps pump, alternator, hoses etc) but someone will be needed who understands the back end (i.e. clutch linkage, starter, and drive shaft) plus some clue as to how to get the motor in place. Then it will be just a few electrical connections, add oil and coolant, and the car will be done.
PS. I'd also be real curious to know what the other Pelican guys have to say about the tensioner.
