You have to hook up your gauge in the line that runs from the top center of the fuel distributor to the WUR. There is also a procedure for jumping the fuel pump so you can get pressure without the car running. The Bentley manual has this in section 240 10-15.
If you search you will find others' comments on procedures. I think someone made up a diagram on hookup & gauge location.
