Yes, too bad the marketing approached the incredulous. I can see a PO saying that he/she has changed the oil every 25K miles because they run synthetic oil.
Most folks on this board change their oil. Using Dino, the cost is approx. $28.00. If done at the dealer or shop it's material plus labor (1 hr) so a dino oil change could run about $100.00+.
Using Syn. oil, DYI'ers cost would be about $70.00. At the dealer or shop, it would be approx $160.00.
If I were running the car in Arizona, Calif. or Texas in the summer, I would consider syn. because of heat dissipation, otherwise, dino is still fine in the NE.
