That was my thoughts too. Other than being able to lift the car higher and be able to park another car underneath, what advantage would it have over the scissors type lift or any other type that would lift the body with the wheels hanging freely,like a two post system. I have also been thinking of buying a lift ,but undecided on which type to purchase.

It would be nice to own one of these units, but is it useful when you want to work on the car. The distance between the two "runners" is only 3.5 feet. I guess one advantage would be if your working on a non P-car ,you would be able to work on the drive train. I do like the idea that this unit can be moved around.
