Targa Roll Bar cover
On a previous post there was some discussion about removing the roll bar cover on targas.
I want to repaint mine since I just bought a new top and headliner. My question is, to remove the cover you just remove the nuts that are located under the rear fenders?
Is that it? Does the piece of metal trim that runs around the bottom of the roll bar and rear window under the weather stripping have to be removed? And how do you remove it without first removing the weatherstripping?
And on a related topic, my underside of the roll bar has seen better days, (I'm refering to the roll bar headliner.) It has a couple of knicks and a couple of rips from the rear top pins gouging it. I have never seen a replacement for this piece. I would think that any upholstery place could fabricate something except it has those vented sections around the seat belt mounts.
Anyone ever messed with this?
