Good summary. Hey, we all are passionate here in the OT-dungeon, especially when it comes to discussing politics. Many of us have gotten into heated debates and often angry exchanges ensued. However, when the red mist evaporated, we realize that we're all part of a happy, dysfunctional family.

During heated exchanges, I try to patiently wait for the dust to settle. If things start to get out of hand, a gentle prodding is often required to get people to calm down. A little note in the thread is typically all it takes for people to realize that angry arguing on the internet is well, dumb.
Unfortunately, that was not the case with Red UFO. His exchanges were relentless, and his anger unyeilding, IMHO. The many warnings I sent his way seemed to have little or no effect on his attitude. He didn't 'play well with others,' and he ignored my many warnings.
Remember Mullholland? He had the same attitude as Red. A relentless, angry pursuit of his agenda with little or no regards to respecting others or the forum rules. He too, was banned. And he was quite the conservative 'neocon.'
Yes, I am a conservative. Sometimes, I voice my political and conservative opinion. But when it comes to forum guidelines and respecting each other, it doesn't matter if you're a 'neocon' or a 'bleeding liberal,' push the limits too much, and you will suffer the consequences.

It's a tough job, but the pay is good. Wait a second.... I don't get paid for this.... (Someone start a petition to Wayne to at least give the poor OT mod a discount on parts!!)
