Last summer I tried running Bel-Ray 20W50 synthetic motorcycle oil in my hot-rodded VW. The engine seemed to like it, and I even drove the car from Toronto to Long Isalnd, NY and back with no problems.
It was interesting to note in an earlier post that Pennzoil and Quaker State are made with parrafin. What's the difference in motorcycle oil? My admittedly unscientific reasoning for using it in my Bug was that many motorcycles have air-cooled engines as well, so what the hey. I noticed that I get about 5 psig more oil pressure at any given oil temperature/rpm combination than before.
