Summarized from the factory shop manual:

Coat main differential gears with Molykote or MoS2 paste; coat thrust surfaces of small differential pinions (spider gears) and large differential pinions (side gears) with Molykote or MoS2 paste.

Carefully lower differential assembly in place (do not let it fall onto the under side roller bearing/race - support with a soft tool or stick from below). Assemble cover (don't forget the new cover o-ring) and temporarily install the cover side output flange (no bolt required). Use the output flange to turn the bearings as the flange cover nuts are tightened in a crossing pattern to 16 to 18 ft-lbs. This ensures the bearings seat properly.

The output flange attachment screws are not "stretch bolts" but rather "expansion bolts"; they may be reused. There are two different arrangements and hence tightening torques. If the bolt has a washer under it, then tighten to 19-22 ft-lbs. If there is not a washer, then tighten to 28-33 ft-lbs.

Cheers, Jim
