I'm putting a more powerful (and slightly heavier 1992 C2 3.6) engine in my 73 T, and plan on changing the torsion bars to 26 or 28mm.
Having only ever driven my car (which I think has been left stock, suspension-wise), I'm trying to guess how big a difference this is going to make in the ride -- both on the street and on the track.
My questions:
How big a difference is there between 26 and 28mm bars? Am I going to be knocking my fillings loose if I roll over a speed bump?
What was the stock set-up on a 73 T in terms of torsion bar size, and presence of sway bars?
Thanks in advance.
