I bought one new. I don't ever expect to part with it. My engine has been on it for close to 6 months. Why? Getting the engine done is just not a priority. The Minnesota driving season is too short, it's too cold even in a heated garage and I have the SC to drive in the summer. So if someone decides to rent/loan theirs out be forewarned yer lessee/ buddy might have it longer than you think. I'd take a deposit equal to the replacement cost. That's how rental companies work (read get their equipment back).
I've also seen them on EBAY, very close to the costs of a new one. May not seem fair but what is?
