Hey Taz, I just did this last weekend.
Use a 3/4 drive 32mm or smaller socket on the ball joint side. The ball joint shaft fits right into the 3/4 drive hole.
Then use a 1/2 dive 14mm socket on the snap ring side and squeeze with a vise or c-clamp.
Use a pointed tip tool and a flat screw driver to pry out the special spring wire lock.
You will notice that the wire ends are angled in opposite ways.
Try to pry out the one that is angled inward with the pointed tool and wedge in the flat screw driver when the tip is out of the groove.
If it is the regular snap ring with holes, that will be easy to remove using a snap ring pliers.
