I have a 1992 C2 and had a few questions about reading the VIN and engine codes.

The last part of my VIN reads "NS420682". According to Bruce Anderson's book, the "N" stands for the model year, and H=1987. If this is true, doesn't N correspond to 1993?
H 1987
I 1988
J 1989
K 1990
L 1991
M 1992
N 1993 ???

Does that mean my car is a 1993 instead of a 1992?

If it helps, my engine code reads "M6401-62N".

Also, Bruce says the problematic dual mass flywheel was updated beginning with engine number 62 N 01738. If I'm reading my VIN correctly, my engine number is 682 so it does not have the update. Is this correct?
