I've just been through this myself. My 911SC was bronze, or brown as my friends pointed out, anyway I wanted silver. I got lots of test colors from Porsche, Alfa, Honda and, forgive me, even Hyundai. but nothing really had the luminous look I wanted. Until I tried just the plain silver with a heavier grain (or partical) to it.
I live in New Zealand but I assume the brand and model names are the same. Out here in the banana repulics we just buy paint and stuff off you guys. The paint is ICI Cobra and colour is just "out of the pot" silver. there are four grades of particals in the silver and mine is the second to heaviest called 980. after the silver get a number of coats of clear over the top.
I've had the painted and have just finished putting it back together and it looks amazing.
