I think it would be easier just to put the back end up on jack stands, and go make sure the emergency brake is off, and that the trans is in neutral, then go back to the driver's side rear wheel and turn it manually as if the car was moving forward. Look under the car to the other rear wheel and check to see if the other wheel is moving in the same direction, or opposite from the one you are turning. If it is turning in the direction of forward movement, rejoice!!! You HAVE a limited slip!

Otherwise, you don't.
