All of the Moots and Litespeed (at least the Ti ones that are made in US)are welded by hand. There is a company called Merida that uses robots for welding their Al and Mg alloy frames. That's pic rdane posted is probably one of the most expensive single speeds you can buy. You should check out Ventana mountain bikes if you want to see some really nice Al welds, machine work, and beautiful powdercoat finishes. Cyclists have to be the most obsessive group around when it comes to weld aesthetics.
