Sorry just saw this. I had my done. Mark @ Eurotech pulled everything and tacked it from the bottom. Then they welded in the panel from above using a piece of rod as filler on the seam.

I was told the most difficult thing is keeping the roof from warping from the heat of welding.

I am using a headiner. But If I weren't I might think about cutting the entire roof out and replacing it with a carbon fiber roof panel. There is one here in Seattle done some time ago and the current owner is on the board. He would be a good guy to ask as well.
