Zack,
I have a Autothority chip in my '84 Carrera. I am pleased with the chip. Car is stronger (i.e increased torque) in the mid-range rpms and has a "red line" increase of 500 rpm's. I believe the OEM max rpm's were 6350 on my car and the chip's max rpm's are 6850. There is also a "soft" rev limiter. This means that the fuel is gradually shut off as you hit the red line; Autothority says this "soft" limiter is easier on the engine.
The bad news about Autothority chips is they are more expensive than other chips. But as I said before, I am very happy with the Autothority chip.
Regards, Bruce
