Graham,

For the probe wiring, go to an electronics or aircraft surplus store and look for some heavy Teflon or fiberglass sleeving material [tubing, but for wires rather than fluid transfer] ... a diameter around 3/16" or 4 mm should work. You want a piece just a milimeter or so shorter than the spark plug seating plane-to-valve cover seating plane for the air seal on the Beru connector. Prep the probe leads by putting a very short piece of thin heatshrink tubing from the washer out to the vertical riser where the wires need to be protected by the stiff sleeve ... parallel to the Beru connector. Put some of the thin heatshrink on the wires so they can pass under the air seal with minimal 'bump' profile.
