Anyone know a good link for info on old - mid 80's 930 either built by RUF or converted to RUF specs.

Were there many cars built by RUF in these years or are they mostly enthusiasts buying the RUF engine/tranny's and then modifying the rest of the car to certain specs?

Does a 930 have to built by RUF to be genuinely referred to as a 'RUF Porsche', or can it be conciderred a RUF Porsche if it just has the engine/tranny?

Or is this just a vague area?

I have seen a RUF porsche advertised and am curious to get some background info before even proceeding further (esp. as it is not cheap!)
