I stand by my statement...unlike ( maybe) the CIS cars..the DME cars will not allow the fuel pump to run ( say, with simply the ignition "on".)... unless the engine is found to be spinning first...check the functioning of this system. Also do a search on this topic in other posts that indicate the same thing.
You're hearing something else...its not the pump running....
