Hey guys,
just a few facts to set you straight on the issue:
Horst Marchard decided to retire. He is certainly not pushed into this decision. Mr Marchard is very close to the Porsche family, very much closer than any other Board member will ever be and therefore have a type of immunity against Dr Wiedeking etc.(this does not mean that there were any trouble, I just say this to prove that it was his own decision to retire). Austrian blood is thicker than water!
Wolfgang Dürheimer may be new to Porsche (which might be a controversial issue when you fill such an important seat), but he is a total Porsche nut through and through! I also have to add that he is already in charge of the design/development of the next 911, so this is a logical step to make. Believe me, the man is very competent and is not afraid to kick asses when people don't deliver.
I work very close to both Horst Marchard and Wolfgang Dürheimer, so you can take this as "from the horse's mouth".
