Sounds on par with what mine cost last year. The shop charged me 7 hours for removal of engine & trans, splitting the two, then mating back together and installing.

Now that I have my work space, and a lift, I won't have to pay a pro to do those jobs. But it's the cost of doing buisness.

I agree a pro should be able to drop and seperate in 1 hour, 2 with a coffee break, but I'm sure they are going off book rates. I may be wrong, but I believe the service book states 20 hours just for a clutch R & R.
