At 12 I loved the 356 Speedster already... quickly learned it would be completely out of my budget range by the time I would be allowed to drive. Sure enough, now that we're 13 years later, it is still out of my budget range
and the gap is growing faster than my salary increase.
My point: in 91 I loved a 56 (I think the speedster was built in 56, but would need to check)... I don't think it is so exceptional for teens to like older cars. But who knows, because I did doesn't mean anybody else did...
