Joe:
Great event. I tried to find the Brumos area. Thursday a.m. parked in the Brumos parking area. Walked to find Brumos desk to purchase ticket. Was hoping for a touring lap, but couldn't find the desk for tickets. Couldn't even park there. We enjoyed the paddock- prior to Daytona Prototype qualifying- until the downpour delayed DP qualifying.
Went to the beach. The ocean is awesome, and anytime I get a chance, I'm there. Ocean breeze was tame as the rain trickled over beach-goers. Every time I go to Daytona Beach I wish for a return to the days when there was racing here. That was an incredible era for Daytona.
The race was awesome! Porsche 996 race cars were looking good. I spoke with the guys at HRG. Every had only good things to say [Except for Tony Stewart's (congrats TS for a great Pepsi 400!) comment after the race (you know which one).]
I am glad that you and your Bro-N-Law had a great time. We did too. All week/weekend was great racing.
Jeremy:
I didn't find ya, but like the pics. We were in the infield too (the marschals at the tunnel gate asked me" is that your trunk? We had a great time. The Turbos are something when they gather, huh? I bet you know what I mean

Met a couple Porsche guys. 911T are my favorite. 996TT guys were at the Bristo I guess. Couldn't strike up a conversation regarding sequential turbos.
The Bristo is an option for next year. Go Brumos 59!
The Pepsi for 400 made for an awesome first Rolex series race for you. Cheers!
Regards,
