Clock replacement

I had been thinking for some time of losing the clock and replacing it with a more useful gauge. Now the clock has apparently died so I have more incentive. Hell, I'm retired and usually don't even CARE what time it is ;-)

Did a search and found a more than a few alternatives. Not being a racer or even AX'er I really don't need...or even like...the big red oil pressure light. Some have just a volt meter and some a CHT for R & L cyl heads. I wrote to NoHo and they said they frequently do a CHT plus a Volt meter in the stock clock housing.

Just how hard is wiring up a CHT gauge and how useful for one who doesn't race. I will at least go for the volt meter. CHT might be fun to have but if it's not R/L is it really saying anything useful.
