Yes.
The Plastic 964 intake is much smoother and more uniform inside. It flows much better. It's also significantly lighter, and won't absorb as much heat and transfer that into the incoming air as the aluminum 3.2 intake will.
Oh, and it has a resonance chamber that opens up at, I think, 6300 rpm for a little boost.
